Anne of Green Gables was my most favourite movie as a girl. I watched it over and over and over! So when I saw that Pip of Meet Me at Mikes is hosting a book club and that one of the books selected is Anne of Green Gables I knew I just had to join. So if you are like me and ahven't read a book in a while (crafting and kids tend to take my reading time away!) or if you just love Anne then why not join me and all the other readers and enjoy a good book!

Oliver & S Jump rope dress – Sew Mama Sew is having a sew along in September. This one has been on my list (you know, the never ending one that grows at a faster rate than I can do them!) for a long time…might be time to make one…or two or three!

 

Lelli Kelli Shoes – Oh how my girls would adore a pair of these…I think the little girl in me would too!

 

LisaK Photography – Lisa recently took our photos and we LOVE the results! I must admit that I still haven’t chosen the photos that we want to keep…it is too hard! I want them all! Hopefully once we have chosen and received our digital negatives I can share a few of them here with you.

Rosamund’s Cardigan

I don’t know about you other knitters out there but most of my knitting has been for my three gorgeous girls. I love seeing them wearing items I have made and most knit up pretty quickly especially for the littlest! But I thought it was about time I made something for me and know I am really enjoying it! It is taking a lot longer than something for one of my girls but I am loving it more and more every time I pick it up to do a few more rows.

I had hoped to complete it as part of this months KAL at Tangled Yarns but I think it will take me a bit longer than this month to complete. I guess it doesn’t help that I only cast on 6 days ago and that I had to rip the first inch as I had done the first lot of cables the wrong way around! The Aussie MCN mummies corner group on rav is also having a KAL where you have to knit something for yourself and the deadline for that one is a little longer so hopefully I can get it done for that one!

The lost posts…

Since Eve’s birth there have been many posts written and not many published! Between feeds, cleaning, dealing with tantrums, cooking dinner, folding washing, changing nappies etc. I type a little here and there in the hope of completing a post but many times I don’t get the photos taken that I want to go with the post or the girls get to the computer and it disappears or the computer decides that now is the time to restart and it is all lost. I guess that is just my life at the moment. Busy, crazy at times but still full of fun and laughter! I hope there will be more posts coming soon…I have many going around in my head…maybe one day I will have time!

Stupid Skirt!

Argh!! 2 hours later and I have finally sewn 3 seams (unpicked many more than that) and attached the skirt to bridesmaids dress number 2 (4 times!!!). I did not unpick a single seam in the much more complicated bodice! I just hope they fit…
