Tutorials Galore

Am I the only one who has HEAP and HEAPS of online tutorials or free patterns bookmarked or in their favourites! I have so many I really don't know where to start and I forget exactly what I have there!

...So I have decided to do a tutorial list in my blog as a way to organise it all and also so the rest of you may be able to find something special in my list that you haven't come across before. I was inspired by Lisa over at the Princess and the Monkey and her list of Tutorials.

The Toy Society

I came across this blog last week and I just think it is a brilliant and fun idea so I had to share it with you!
The basic idea of the Toy Society is that toys(softies) are placed in random places around various cities and whoever finds them gets to take them home and keep them! Just spreading softie love! It is happening in various cities in Australia and recently some readers from other countries have decided to join in! So head on over and check it out!

Knit, Knit, Knit

My week has been quite full of knitting! Well as much as it can be with two little girls to look after! I am taking part in a "We've got you covered" swap over on Ravelry in the Australian Knitters group and I remembered at the beginning of the week (or was it the end of last week?) that it had to be sent off soonish! So I went in search of a pattern and yarn! I happened to get the only man in the swap (I am pretty sure he won't be looking here so I think I am safe in saying that!) so I managed to find some thing I think is suitable. I decided on this pattern in grey with a couple of green stripes (two colours he said he liked).

Before I remembered about the swap I managed to finish Miss E's cable beanie. I am quite pleased with it as my first attempt at cables. They weren't nearly as complicated as I thought they would be. Miss E loves the hat! She has even worn it to bed a few times!
The lovely yarn is from Monsoon Designs over at Yarn Collective. It is lovely and soft!

For my Messy eater

I didn't use bibs with Miss E until she started solids but little Miss I needs a bib on for every feed! She dribbles her milk everywhere!

...So i thought my next project should be some bibs! I have one cut out and ready to be sewn and many other fabric combos ready to go!
Also on my cutting table (dining table really!) are these fabrics to be made into outfits for Miss E and Miss I respectively.

I love the pinks and greens in Miss I's fabrics and am thinking of using these same fabrics/colours to decorate their new room...what do you think?

Full of Beans!

Well, rice actually....

One of the results of my recent craftiness as been some bean(rice!) bags for Miss E to play with. I was inspired by Crafty Crow, who was inspired by The Toby Show (both great blogs! You should take a look!)

We have been having fun with these, balancing them on our heads, playing catch (or drop as it is most of the time!) and Miss E likes to but them in her doll pram and push them around!

Time for creating...

I have been so busy lately just being a mum that I haven't had much time for creating. I really miss it and have decided that I am going to commit some time each day to creating! I may have to leave the dishes for a bit longer...

or let Elsa's toys stay out...but I will be happier and more relaxed! Last night I took up some pants and even though it is the most boring sewing task ever I actually enjoyed it! So I made this decision. I am looking forward to posting my creations again soon!
