Miss Jane

I think it is safe to say that Tikki(Georgie) is one of my favourite designers. I have had the girls version of this pattern in my pattern folder on my computer for a long time but I just hadn’t got to it yet! I was very pleased to be able to test the adult version though. Doing a test knit motivates you to finish a larger garment as the designers need the details!
I knit this cardigan in Red Riding Hood Yarn in Teachers Pet. I was lucky enough to be matched up in a swap with Hannah from RRHY and she sent me this colourway to knit a Teachers Pet for Elsa. Elsa looks totally gorgeous in red but she is such a pink girl at the moment I just couldn’t bare the thought of knitting it up and having her refuse to wear it so I pinched the yarn for me!

It will be released very soon so watch out for it. It is a great knit!

EDITED TO ADD: The pattern has now be released! Head over here to purchase your copy.

The Dye Pot

Nothing (well no yarn) has been safe from it these last couple of weeks! I finally went and spent the voucher I received for my birthday (last August!) on 7 new Landscape Dye colours. I now have 14 colours and it has been so much fun creating new combinations!

I have gone just a little crazy and am dyeing yarn way faster than I could ever knit it! it has all been BWM Luxury and I have used a mix of 4ply and 8 ply. Now to find projects for all of these!

You can never have enough project bags!

I am a multiple WIP(work in progress) knitter! I love to cast a few things on and have the freedom pick and choose what I work on. A knitting friend of mine said to me just last week “I didn’t even know you could do that until I met you!” Hmmm seems that people are learning my habits! Notice I didn’t say ‘bad’ habits? My husband would probably call it a bad one but for me I love it!

Anyway, to keep all my WIPs in order I need project bags. I have used large zip-lock bags in the past and although they work ok they do end up being ruined and don’t look pretty. I have been gifted a number of pretty project bags now but I definitely need more!

We had a PIF(pay it forward) night in our Ravelry group a couple of weeks ago and I offered to sew someone a project bag and this is what I came up with.

I totally adore this fabric. It is one of my favourites, so I was thrilled when the recipient chose this one. It is now on its way to its new owner but I have plans for many many more!

Ones & Twos

Ones and Twos is a new nappy brand and they are currently looking for the face of Ones and Twos to be in all their advertising. My little Eve has been selected as a finalist and I am just a little proud!

I would love it if you would go to their FB page and ‘like’ the photos of Eve for me. It is not the deciding factor but it might help!
