So Cute!
The designs that this lady comes up with amazes me! Maybe one day I will be able to create things without patterns! I can only hope!
Birthday Party Dress
My baby brother (he’s 23 so not really a baby I guess) is getting married next week and so I thought it was the perfect opportunity to get back into my sewing and to make the girls little matching dresses for the wedding. Generally I really don’t like matching outfits but these dresses are so cute I thought it would look gorgeous not tacky(I hope!)
Here is Elsa’s dress (Oliver & S Birthday Party Dress) minus the buttons. I am yet to buy the buttons so it is just sitting on the hanger with a few pins to keep it all in place.
I loved sewing this dress but I did find the pleats challenging. I am a bit of a perfectionist and so I undid the stitching a number of times in the pleats to get them sitting as close to perfect as I could. They are not perfect but I am happy with the result.
We can paint a rainbow…
The knitting group that I frequent came to my house over the weekend and we hand dyed some yarn. It was the first time for most but everyone come up with lovely results! I can’t wait to see the dried yarn on Thursday night!
Step 1…
…trace pattern. DONE!
Yes I have finally jumped back on the sewing wagon! With my piles of fabric and patterns I was feeling a little guilty when I saw it all sitting there unused but with my brothers wedding coming up in a few weeks I thought it was the perfect time to get the machine back out and sew dresses for the girls to wear to the wedding.

Tomorrow I will take photos of my embarrassingly messy sewing room and show you all. Maybe it will shame me into cleaning it up so I can finally start sewing again!
Yes, I am only 17 weeks! No, I am not having twins!
Does anyone else get questioned about their due date and number of babies you are carrying or get shocked looks? I do! I did for all of mine. I think I carry larger than some women and now with number 3 I officially have no stomach muscles and so it just all hangs out!
I am tired, getting sciatic pain, and having dizzy spells…BUT I am carrying my 3rd gorgeous baby so I am great!
Here is the bump…17 + 3 weeks

Ishbel…a VERY late birthday present
My mums birthday is in January and about 3 weeks before hand I had a great idea of knitting something for her. I purchased the yarn, chose a pattern and even dyed it up myself, BUT I didn’t even get it cast on! Yes I am very slack daughter!
Well my SIL got onto me about it (in the nicest way) and so I finally cast on and completed this in about 10 days. I am quite happy with it. It is my first attempt at a shawl and I really like the smaller size for use as a scarf.
