Ishbel…a VERY late birthday present

My mums birthday is in January and about 3 weeks before hand I had a great idea of knitting something for her. I purchased the yarn, chose a pattern and even dyed it up myself, BUT I didn’t even get it cast on! Yes I am very slack daughter!

Well my SIL got onto me about it (in the nicest way) and so I finally cast on and completed this in about 10 days. I am quite happy with it. It is my first attempt at a shawl and I really like the smaller size for use as a scarf.

Pink Cupcakes!

The Pod Swaddler Pattern GUEST GIVEAWAY!!!!

My kids were the best at escaping when they were very small! No I wasn't trying to lock them in anywhere! I am talking about swaddling. The first week always went OK but as they got their strength up(I must have super milk!) they soon learnt to break free...and of course woke themselves up!

So on my blog browsing I found this give away. I think I will have to buy it if I don't win. I am sure this bub on the way will be just as good at escaping as my first two!

Paxton

My friend is expecting twins in a month or so...actually it is 2 months but being twins they are expected to be here earlier. I am glad it is her and not me! I know they are a blessing but TWO AT ONCE....I will leave it to my amazing friend I think.

I couldn't resist knitting tiny newborn twin knits though! SO cute and tiny!

This is a Paxton Cardi knit in Woolganic 8 ply. There is another in the needles at the moment and I can't wait to see them both together. I have plans for matching hats and maybe some longies too...we will see how much time I have!

Rainbow Dress

Ok so it is not actually rainbow coloured but that is the name of the pattern so that is the name of this post. I actually got this one done in only a week which is super fast for me! I was feeling sick and used it as an opportunity to sit on the couch and knit.

Pattern - Rainbow Dress
Size - 9 Months with extra stitches cast on under the arms to fit her chest
Yarn - Morris and Sons 8 ply Merino

After these photos were taken she some how split the backside of her brand new bamboo stockings! Oh well, next time she will have to wear her cream ones instead!

I know, I know!

It's been too long! I do have excuses but when I see how many of you manage to blog rain, hail or shine they seem a little pointless!

I do have a little announcement to make though....(drum roll please).....

We are expecting baby number 3! Yes come Jan next year I will have 3 little munchkins to look after!

Feeling rather sick and tired at the moment and have been spending a lot of time lying on the couch feeling sorry for myself! One positive to the lying on the couch is that I have been getting a lot of knitting done! So when we actually have a break in the overcast, rainy weather I will attempt to get some half decent photos and show you all what I have been working on!

Oh and I will also get pics of the new house. No promises as to when this will be as it actually requires the house to be tidy for long enough for me to take the photos and with all the knitting ...I mean baby growing going on here it has not been photo worthy for a while!
